Packed with lore, XP, and thrilling challenges, this questline is a must for any dedicated player. But what if you can’t see the quest tab? Don’t worry! Even if the menu seems elusive, you can still progress by following the steps outlined here. Let’s embark on this epic adventure together and uncover every secret.
Step 1: Reconnect with Kendo
The first step is simple: find and talk to Kendo. Head north of Nightshift Forest, and you’ll locate him by a lake, valiantly battling some demons. Lend him a hand, clear the area, and then approach him. On his dialogue wheel, select ‘Speak to Kendo about Hope’. Click through the conversation, and just like that, Stage 1 is complete!
Step 2: Place the Spirit Charms
After your chat, venture further north toward Twinkle Terrace. Along the way, keep an eye out for three distinct exclamation points (!) marked on your map, just to the right of the POI. These are your Spirit Charm locations. Here’s where to find them:

Spirit Charm #1: Nestled between the purple trees at the far north end of Nightshift Forest, right after crossing the bridge from Kendo.

Spirit Charm #2: Found to the right of Twinkle Terrace, near the crater by the roadside.

Spirit Charm #3: Also located near that roadside crater, to the right of Twinkle Terrace.
Simply interact with each marker to place a charm. Easy, right?
Step 3: Mask Up & Find the First Splinter
Now things get interesting! Stage 3 has two parts. First, you need to acquire a special mask. But which one? It all depends on the in-game time of day! ⏰

During the Day (Sun is up): You need a Fire Oni Mask. Loot it from any chest (including Elemental Chests) or defeat a roaming demon.

During the Night (Moon is out): You need a Void Oni Mask. Source it the same way.
Once you have your mask, you must use its ability 4 times. It doesn’t need to hit an enemy; just activate it four times to fulfill the requirement.
The second part of Stage 3 sends you hunting for your first Meteor Splinter. Head to Shogun’s Solitude, the POI in the bottom left of the map. At the center of this area, near the Demon’s Portal, you’ll find the interactable splinter. Grab it to move on!
Step 4: Fox Statue Riddles & Second Splinter
Time to test your wits! Stage 4 takes you deep into Nightshift Forest to find three mysterious fox statues. Each presents a riddle you must solve. Interact with them to accept the challenge. Here’s the breakdown:

Solve all three, and your reward awaits nearby. The second Meteor Splinter is hidden within Nightshift Forest itself. Look for the broken wall of the POI, directly inside the area to the right where buildings are located, opposite the secret vault. Interact to collect it!
Step 5: Hunt a Demon Warrior & Third Splinter
Ready for a real fight? For Stage 5, you must locate and defeat a Demon Warrior. These powerful foes spawn randomly at the start of each match. How do you find them? When the Battle Bus is about to launch, check your map for an icon of a samurai helmet (Void Oni Mask) – that’s your target zone.
You’ll face lesser demons (~100 Health) first, then the main Demon Warrior (over 400 Health). They often wield a Fire Oni Mask, so come prepared with strong weapons and plenty of shields! Upon victory, they drop a crucial item: a map. Pick it up!
This map leads you to the third and final Meteor Splinter. Your destination is the bamboo maze of Spiral Shoots, south of Masked Meadows. Break your way into the center of the maze, and there, by the Demon’s Portal next to a Reboot Van, you’ll find the last splinter.
Step 6: Forge the Blades & Face the Night Rose
With all three Meteor Splinters in hand, the final act begins. Journey to Demon’s Dojo. Underneath the central bridge that leads to the boss arena, you’ll find a special pillar. Interact with it to place all three splinters, then interact again to forge them into the Splinter Blades. (Note: This is a quest item, not a usable weapon).
Now, enter the central dojo for the ultimate showdown: the Night Rose. This boss fight is intense but straightforward. Stock up on ammo and shields! The key is to target the glowing red eyes on her Oni Mask to free her and deal damage. The battle has two phases. After you defeat her, she respawns as a friendly NPC.
Approach her and select the dialogue option: ‘Deliver the Splinter Blades’. Click ‘Continue’ twice, and… congratulations! 🎉 You’ve successfully completed the ‘Splinters of Possibility’ questline, unlocking new lore and claiming your well-earned XP. What an adventure!
